Where I suggest a 120mi bike trip
Me: For your birthday, let's bike up to Bear Mountain State Park along the Hudson. It's a 60 mile trip up there (and another 60 back down).
Him: Damn. That sounds hard.
Me: Good! I want a challenge.
Him: 120 miles? That's a challenge.
Me: I know! If we average 10 MPH, we'd make it there in 6 hours (more with breaks). We can stay overnight somewhere and begin anew the next day!
Where I buy 3 skirts and 1 pair of tights.
Me: What time does the mall close tonight?
Him: Nine, I think.
Me: Damn. I wanted to buy a skirt.
Him: So order one online.
Me: No, I wanted to wear it to work tomorrow. I guess I can just go to the Target near work in the morning.
Him: ...
Me: WAIT! There's a Target right here! What time do they close?
Him: [looks it up] 11 PM.
Me: [putting on coat] Let's go!
